No other aspect of dentistry involves both the right and left side of the brain like aesthetic dentistry. It’s both science and artistry at the same time. Dr. Ship acquired his skill for aesthetic dentistry from SPEAR Education, where he regularly attends courses taught by some of the brightest minds in dentistry. There he has learned the latest in diagnostic, restorative, and cosmetic procedures.

Aesthetic dentistry can involve a wide variety of treatment. It can involve as little as restoring a front tooth to creating an entirely new smile, or even reconstructing one’s entire dentition. Dr. Ship has a unique relationship with a master dental technician to provide a bespoke design for each patient’s smile.

There are few things in life as satisfying as giving someone the ability to enjoy a meal again. Such a service is the root of Dr. Ship’s passion for implant dentistry. Early in his career, Dr. Ship completed a comprehensive implant residency program, where he learned to surgically place and restore dental implants.

Dental implants can be used in a variety of ways to replace missing teeth. A single tooth can be replaced with an implant that serves as the anchor for a ceramic crown. Such a procedure is typically performed in just minutes by Dr. Ship.

A full arch of teeth can also be replaced by placing multiple dental implants. Teeth can typically be attached to implants at the time of surgery, so the patient never has to go without teeth, a procedure commonly referred to as “teeth in a day.” The patient can then choose between removable teeth that snap into their implants or ceramic teeth that are permanently attached to their implants.
